Hi!
My name is Amy and on Friday I rescued two coonhounds from my local shelter when they were going to be sold to research.
They are awesome boys and we are looking for 'forever' homes for them. I know that coonhounds are a special breed, so I wanted to take the time to post here besides the usual rescue forums.
Luke is a young black and tan coonhound. He was surrendered because of housetraining/howling. We have the housetraining down in under a week. He hardly ever howls because he spends so much time in the family, which is what he really wanted.
If you know someone who would like a loyal, loving companion, check Luke out at http://www.petfinder.org/pet.cgi?action=2&pet=5007321&adTarget=&SessionID=4317178d47ec43e3-app3&display=&preview=1&row=0&tmpl=&stat=
The walker treeing coonhound is Bo. We consider Bo to be a senior dog. He was a stray whose owners never came in to find him, their loss! Bo is an easygoing companion. All Bo wants is to spend his day with you, laying around your house and yard. He is a very low maintenance dog, and would make a great companion for a household that doesn't want all the fuss of a hyper, whiny dog.
Check Bo out at

Feel free to email me with any questions, I love to talk about my foster babies. They ask so little, and deserve so much!
