You know, I have yet to meet a bloodhound even though  I've always heard great things about Bloodhounds. Probably because I'm in the suburbs. Aren't they more of a country dog?

Actually they are search and rescue dogs, especially with their great sniffing ability, so they are in alot of big cities.  They are thought of alot as "country dogs" because they are in shows like Beverly Hillbillies and Hee Haw, but actually they are very intelligent dogs who love to play and love to hunt either animal or man!

Lol, I knew they were intelligent, but aren't they clumsy too? I remember reading that you can't have a bloodhound if you have anything at coffee table level because their tails will wipe it out!

Do you do any type of SNR or training with Elvis?

He can be clumsy, they love to sniff everything, therefore he runs into alot of things while sniffing :) and leaves slobber everywhere.  Well with Elvis, his mother bit his tail when he was born, so his tail is only half the size it should be and my German Shepherd is the one knocking stuff off the table :)  We done some training at home with Elvis when he was a puppy but never really got into it too much, now we wish we would have.

Lol if it's not one dog it's the other huh...I've heard that about the way they slobber too. Very cute outside, not so sure about inside :)

BTW, 3 1/2 is soooo not too old to start training.

Yeah they both are much cuter outside :) or one inside is okay but not both and with 2 cats, it is like a zoo at our house :)  Elvis is still trainable I guess but I don't know that me or my husband will put him in any training so right now I guess it is just fetch, sit, roll over and speak :)
