My Golden Retriever is pregnant and I was told by a vet to feed her 'RESOURCES Canine Blood & Endurance Tablets'. It’s a natural dietary supplement recommended for active dogs, pregnant dogs or dogs suffering from after-birthing recovery. The formula contains ingredients rich in RNA/DNA, iron and vitamin B12, which are essential for the formation of hemoglobin. Higher levels of hemoglobin increase the supply of oxygen and improve a dogs’ level of energy and vitality. I found it at http://www.dealrocker.com under EntirelyPets deals, but I want to know your advice before any decision.. If you have any other better recommendations, please let me know.
Thanks in advance.

DO NOT ADD ANY VITAMIN SUPPLEMENTS IN THE FIRST MONTH OF PREGNANCY.
BIRTH DEFECTS WILL DEVELOP FROM TOO MUCH VITAMINS A & D.
DO NOT GIVE ANY MEDICINE NOW EITHER WITHOUT THE EXPRESS ORDER OF THE VETERINARIAN.

I agree, you should not feed any vitamins when your dog is pregnant unless it's recommended by your vet. You may give her healthy foods to cope up with the nutrients needed.

A pregnant dog needs food that’ll supply not only the mother’s development but also the pups. Nutritious food recommended by your vet must be fed to your dog – nothing else. The thing is, the amount of food on normal days must be almost equal in your dog’s pregnancy days. It’s a common problem for dog owners to overfeed them when they’re pregnant but it’s better to keep the usual diet.
