Pitbull Won't Be Housebroken My boyfriend and I have an 8 month old Pitbull who has been impossible to pottytrain. We have tried everything from kennel training to rubbing his nose in it. Well we had the same problem with our Bichon and Retriver. Be consistant. Keep him on a leash at all times in the hosue, or in his kennel. Feed him the same time each day take him out the sam eime each day. Be consistant with the training method, and it will pay off soon enough.

I agree that consistency is the key. There is no dog in the world that’s not trainable.

Somehow, it's a challenge to establish a master figure for your dog if you have been playing for most of the time. A simple gesture that the dog is already respecting you is that when you walk with him on a leash, the dog let's you walk first before he tries to walk - behind you. If the dog walks first and tries to drag you, it'll be better to train him.
