We lost our Best Friend today. Cocoa, or Cokie as we called him was a very friendly Pom. Unusual that he was quite large for his Breed around 12 lbs. And all that weight went into his rather Large Heart. Thou in the end it's what caused his leaving Us. Cokie Suffered from a Degenerative Heart problem. We found out about it several years ago, however thru medication he was healthy and happy thru most of that. Several eeks ago he developed problems breathing. He Had a seizure last night, he had a couple before but mild ones brought on by the medication. This one left him quiet and his typical pant was gone, he was having a hard time Breathing. It was a hard decision to make, right before the prceedure he came to quite a bit and his customery Wag was back, but we were afraid of him having increasingly bad siezures, perhaps when we were'nt around to comfort him. So we let him go. This is the Second dog we've lost in under a 1 1/2 years, the former was Cokie's Firend Scotty a Retriever/Collie Mix he was 16 and lived a long and healthy life buy was tired at the end. It's been rough for my wife, she's taken it the hardest, but I too miss our dear friend. Thru Pupforum he spent the last 6 months with a friend we rescued thru one of Pupforum's Sponsers. Paige is helping us cope with out loss with her continued Love. I'll Leave a Pic of Cokie in the Pics area in memorium.

I know how hard it is to loose a dog. I had to put my Chewy down after 12 year of love. I never felt depression in my whole life until she left me. She got cancer after 12 years of a wonderful life from a small pup. I struggled so much with the decision but she hurt so much I could not touch her! I adopted another Dalmatian, Sparky one month later he is the one I have now. He does not replace her BY ANY means but his spots helped me and I help him out with a home. I know her spirit will always be with me and I thank God every day for her blessings in my life. I have at least one picture of her in the kitchen, living room, bedroom and my office. May your dogs Peace & Love fill your heart.
