A new column has been published in the Pupforum Ask a Trainer section:

Two Crazy Akitas
I was given two pure breed Akitas; a two year old male and a 9 month old female. You can't separate them. They go crazy when I take them separately for a walk....

Post your comments on the column here.

Fran, that was excellent advice. I hope that wonderful person has read all they can about Akitas, in particular that they are usually Alpha animals. With several other dogs in the house, these two will probably assert their dominance. She must always keep an eye out for that, unless the other dogs are very submissive. I'm on my fourth Akita (third rescue) and love them all, but one must always be vigilant! And being hunting dogs, I never let mine off leash, lest they bring back something!
