My wife and I have owned and trained several Dobermans for assitance dogs and we believe what was written on that link to be an excellent source of information. Thanks for sharing it.

I buy puppies because i buy for show quality, agility quality, schutzhund, etc.. i dont rescue for that reason. however i do foster and just because you want people to rescue doesnt mean they should. rescueing is good if you want a dog you dont knowanything about of course. but a puppy you can train to be almost wha tyou want it to be that is why people go with puppies especially as dobermans, tend to have aggression problems if not bred properly, health issues etc... that is the reason
