Are you considering the purchase of a Doberman Pinscher puppy? If so, be sure to read The Doberman Pinscher Purchasing Guideline before you do anything else.

While pupforum.com encourages RESCUE RESCUE RESCUE there is some very good information from that link. Thanks for sharing it!

Why should you buy a puppy from a breeder? I have 3 Dobermans available for adoption! 2 of them are 9 months old, and the other one is 10 or 11 months old.
There is NEVER a reason to breed or buy while shelter animals die.

Are those 3 Dobermans in addition to your 12 dogs at home?
I agree that rescue is the way to go, but I did like the info in the article under "INFORMATION TO BE AWARE OF BEFORE PURCHASING A DOBERMAN PINSCHER"

No, actually 3 of my 4 Dobies are foster dogs. I used to have 3 Doberdudes of my own, but my other 2 sadly passed away not too long ago. They were both 12.

Rescue is a worthy consideration for anyone looking for a dog. However, people should not be made to feel bad or uncaring for wanting to purchase a puppy or dog via a reputable breeder.

I don't say it to make people feel bad or uncaring. I say it because it needs to be said.
A lot of people do not realize that you can adopt a sweet, healthy, young (or older) wonderful purebred dog from either a shelter or a rescue group.
Please, don't breed or buy while shelter animals die.
