A friend of mine has a small dog that she says will NOT stop eating the mulch around her shurbs and trees. She is afraid that he will get choked on a piece of wood, or ingest something in the mulch that will harm him. She is looking for any advice on how to stop this behavior. I told her I would put out the question here and see if anyone else has had this problem, and what they did to correct it.

My dog eats mud. The only thing I can do is feed her right before she goes out, so she is already full, and watch her.
