Dog Calendars, Dog Breed Information, Training Aids & Everything Else

Hi :) 

I'm a newbie here and am looking forward to reading/learning more about dogs...they certainly make the world a richer place :) 

Wondering if anyone can help me out with a question~  I had 4 Shih tzus (get pics up soon) and am now down to zero :(  My ex husband and I became addicted to the breed...lol  We had four beautiful babies and when we separated, I was only able to take one (my Addy girl) with me as the pet deposit where I moved to was very steep.  ANYWAY, my Addy had to be put down three years ago, she was only seven and had a very rare disorder with her esophagus making it, eventually, impossible to keep even syringed-fed food down.  Miss her dearly and knew in my heart that the time would come where I would want another one.  That time is now and I'm naturally leaning most toward a shih tzu, however, I've always been curious about Lhasa's.  They are beautiful...I know a bit larger then shih tzus but they look so similar! My main concern is temperment difference.  I have heard ~through the grapevine~ that they are not quite as tolerant, especially with children.  Could anybody agree or disagree with this and state their opinions/knowledge on the topic? I would certainly appreciate it!

Oh and I'm also checking in to the Brussels Breed- again, it's really important I choose a breed that is good with children~ Thanks so much~

Hi there! While I don't know either breed extremely well, I do know that both are recommended for first time dog owners. They are both easy to care for.

The best place to go for information would be a good breeder for each breed of dog (one who asks YOU questions) or a rescue group specific to these breeds. Good luck!
