Elaine has been training dogs professionally for 14 years. She is a CPDT as well as an endorsed member of NADOI. She is also certified in narcotics detection and is one half of a (twice) certified explosives detection team - the other half being her Dutch Shepherd Spawn, who is also titled in several protection sports. Elaine is the owner of Canine's Best Behavior, a Los Angeles based training company, offering Basic Manners, CGC, K9 Games (soon!) as well as behavior modification for aggression fears phobias etc.

Ev lives the Lower Mainland of beautiful British Columbia, Canada where she has been training dogs since 1969. She is experienced in many methods including clicker and motivational training. Ev is an original Superdog Performance Team member and her own dogs have travelled and performed with the Canadian Superdogs since 1984. She has also served as an A.A.C. judge and is an original Member/Trainer with the Dogwood Pacesetters Agility Club.

Fran grew up teaching everything from chickens and goats to dogs and horses. These days, Fran works with DOG GONE IT rottweiler rescue, is registered with AKC as a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and continues to train dogs in Las Vegas, Nevada. She also writes a canine question & answer column for a local news paper, The Hilltop & High Desert Shopper News.

Jean is a graduate of Animal Behavior College and teaches basic obedience using positive motivation training techniues. She is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and has been studying with Tressa Everts in the Maryland/Virginia area for over a year. Jean is also a graduate of Northeastern University and is the co-founder of pupforum.com.

Jennifer Shryock is a certified dog behavior consultant, who specializes in helping families keep things safe and fun between children and the family dog/s. She has a duo bachelor’s degree in Special Education and Elementary Education from Kutztown University. She combined her passion for working with families, children and dogs into a career in dog behavior, and founded Family Paws in 2002. She developed Dogs & Storks™, an original and complete program for new and expecting parents (and grandparents) who have a family dog.

Lynne has been training dogs since 1985. She has worked as head trainer for two facilities, a studio trainer (print ads, commercials and television) and as a continuing ed and certification rep for what was then the largest dog training company in the US. Lynne is a member of the IACP and keeps her training techniques current by attending various seminars and reading books. She currently competes in the sport of schutzhund, has a registered therapy dog, and has started her young Papillion in agility. Lynne owns and runs Blazing Trails K9 Academy in Santa Clarita/Antelope valley California.

Simon has a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Psychology and specialized in Canine Behaviour. He was recently the first New Zealander approved for membership to the IAABC, and he is also a member of APDT Australia. Simon founded Dog Guru in 2002. Dog Guru has helped hundreds of dogs and their owners with training and specialist problems, and is also a dog trainer for the ministry of Education. Simon lives in Auckland, New Zealand with his wife Michelle and two golden retrievers. Sherlock is often used as a demonstration dog in schools and retirement villages. He was also used as a demo dog in the Auckland pet expo in 2004. Training is always using positive reinforcement.

Norm has been training dogs for over ten years and successfully competed with his own dogs in conformation, obedience, field, pulling, sled dog racing, and agility. Prior to joining the ARF team in April 2004, Norm owned and managed a boarding kennel for dogs. Norm is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer through the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. He has an MBA in E-Business from the University of Phoenix, and a BS in Electrical Engineering.

TD Yandt wears many different hats in the Canine world. You may find her at Clicker Chicks' Pet-Centric Boutique teaching obedience or conformation handling. She might be out working with Service Dogs in Training as a volunteer and the founder of AASK; Animal Assistants Inc.. You're also likely to find her in the conformation ring lead in hand or standing just outside it with her camera. TD is a certified trainer with Animal Behavior and Training Associates Inc. and a mentor with the Animal Behavior College. Her new book, on clicker training the family dog, will be out early in 2006. Dawn has a background in competition in breed and the obedience ring, the whelping box, trained her own ‘registered therapy dog’, herding, tracking, lure coursing, water work training, field training, agility, and sailing with her boat trained dog. Dawn was one of the few trainers utilizing ‘positive reinforcement’ based methods before it’s popularity. Dawn has been interviewed by authors for a variety of articles such as Dog Fancy and The Washington Post. The Washingtonian Magazine chose Dawn as one of “Washington’s Best Dog Trainers”. As the owner, and founder of Merit Puppy Training, LLC, she continues to teach group classes and also works as a private consultant.

Joy has been teaching dog obedience for twenty years. A graduate of the University of Texas in Austin with a BS in education, Joy taught and trained Canine Good Citizen classes at Exmoor Kennel in Austin for 5 years and currently teaches basic obedience at Panola College in Carthage, Texas. Her teaching methods are described as gentle with positive motivation. Joy believes that dogs who have basic obedience training are less troublesome, their owners are happier, and the dogs are more content.

Tressa is the behavior and training coordinator for the Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League (MAGDRL), and has been teaching positive motivation based dog training classes for 13 years. She currently has a team of trainers that hold classes in the Maryland/Virginia area and supports many student trainers from the Animal Behavior College.
