Hi Friends, one of the many questions I always get is about how white the teeth on my dogs are. I of course many times have told you use raw bones big ole fresh raw bones. Now I put my dogs in their crates for this because I do not want the blood and bone smell on my carpets ( I always have to wash the doggie blankets because I cannot stand the smell) and if you give them out side -wasp & meat eating bees or ants will attack your dog for that bone, so I have done some research and come across some great products that might help you and your dogs to have healthy teeth for life.
One is a spray and you spray 2 times in the morning before they are allowed to eat or drink for at least 1/2 hour and then again at night before they are allowed to eat or drink-the other comes in the form of a herb that is spread across the dogs food (the one I would use. WHY? Because it's easy lol). These are from two different companies, but both work the same way by changing the saliva in the dogs mouth so that it coats their teeth and breaks down old plaque that causes the gums to be diseased and lead to the dog having to under go the trauma of anesthesia at the vets for a teeth cleaning.
In case you don't know it most doggie bad breath is due to tooth problems. I am big believer in do what is best for your dog and at all cost prevention is always the best route to take. I talked with both companies and they swear there have been no bad side effects even in our senior citizens canines or any others for that matter and its from some sort of seaweed all natural products.
Now I h

Hi, This is Taylor, Lauri's daughter and my dog is 7 weeks old. I don't know what got in to him he is so mean! Every time I sit down he bites my toes and when I am doing some thing on the floor he pinches and bites me with his teeth. I don't no what got in to me one day I thought he was evil because he walked in the room looked at me with his eyes rolled back in his head. Can you help me please? (lacotay@arkansa, Arkansas )
Well first off lets start by saying your puppy is NOT EVIL! He is just a puppy with lots of energy and he is treating you as he would one of his litter mates. A puppy can learn all the life lessons he needs to learn in the first 12 weeks of his life so get busy and start training this pup to come-sit-down and maybe a few little tricks like shake-hold a cookie on his nose. If you keep this puppy busy and give him things to do he will be less likely to eat your feet ha ha.
If he bites you tell him "NO" in a stern voice and put a play toy in his mouth. Never let a puppy mouth you (place a part of your body in his mouth) start now with showing this dog what you want him to become and it will all work out. As for the eyes rolling back in his head-I would have thought shock or fever but since he is still alive I guess we can just rule that out as a fluke. So get to work training this puppy and enjoy the journey. Take Care Fran Dog Gone It
